Crying Stars

Things didn’t always seem right,

Confusion.

She was waiting for something to ignite,

In her daily world of  illusion.

Illusion it always was,

And illusion it will always be…

Or will it? Was that just how she wanted it to be?

Between worlds of darkness and light,

She was caught.

It was only towards the end of each day, midnight,

That she would feel at peace.

In the lucid darkness,

She would find comfort,

With the moon to talk to.

Stars would look down on her,

And she would say,

“Please little stars,

Take me away.”

“Please little stars, just give me a sign,

Im lost,

Im undefined.”

“Im in a midst of two worlds,

And yet,

I understand none of them.”

“Only the little space in between,

That the rest of humanity won’t believe or see,

It makes me feel free,

It makes me feel free.”

But they would never answer,

and every day,

She would wait for the stars, for the moon to take her away,

From

Illusion.

From

Seclusion.

From

Confusion.

Away from this deadly place

That she didn’t understand,

And away from a reality she couldn’t quite grasp,

It was bland.

Maybe in a different dimension, she thought,

Her world would make more sense,

But the stars never took her there.

They would only listen,

Come closer to her brittle heart and cry,

For their tears to melt her icy heart, and try,

To make her see both worlds.

But,

She never did.

Your world

You don’t know what it is,

But it pulls you closer to her right away.

Her eyes seem so innocent and pure, yet at the same time seem to seductively muster your soul in the subtlest of ways.

She’s like a breeze at the beach,

Humid and hot, yet you happily welcome her refreshing presence.

All about her seems so beautiful and divine,

All you want to do is to be close to her, to run your fingers through her hair, down her spine.

However to her the world seems all but lucid, nothing but an illusion,

And something about the way this world works, seems to send her into a state of confusion.

Her mind begins to wander off into the hue of the undiscovered grey space.

To her, this world seems so small and cruel, she can’t escape.

All she wants is to feel loved, for a meaningful reality to take shape.

And whilst she tries to comprehend just the insignificance of her little world,

You see the world in her eyes,

And to you, its never been so clear,

Whilst to her is all blurred, this world only seems to bring her tears and fear.

To you, she is the world, the universe, in her presence, you feel complete.

You might not understand this chemistry, but every day, your feelings for her grow and repeat.

Every day, you find another dimension in her eyes to love and discover,

You adore her to pieces, you want her to be yours, for you to be her lover.

However to her you are an illusion, the world seems insignificant and dull,

Whilst to you, she is everything, the world, and something about her, just won’t leave your mind, its been trapped in your skull,

And you still don’t quite know what it is,

But it pulls you closer to her, every day,

And whilst all she wants to do is leave, all you want her to do, is stay.

My worth

I saw him and my mind went blank.

No, he wasn’t the average guy,

Meet, laugh, immediately get down to business. No,

He was a whole lot different.

You see, he spoke to me with such respect and charm,

So down to earth, gentle and calm,

I didn’t know how to react!

Was this really a guy interested in who I really was?

Has society really fucked me up so much to the point of me narrowing my self worth down to my looks and… the rest doesn’t matter?

You see, my mind has been distorted this entire time.

Im worth more than just my looks and a date.

So thank you, for letting me realise this

Stop Waiting

Don’t wait for it to overcome you,

For it to flush through your veins like a fresh summers day breeze,

And take you by surprise.

Stop wishing for a reality that pulls a shadow over your dreams,

A reality so great, you’d never have to sleep again.

Stop waiting, stop wishing for that day to come.

Stop sighing and saying “I wish I would,” “Next week,”

Its not worth it.

Dont let people tell you what to do,

Live your life.

Stop living up to others expectation,

Make your own.

Nothing will ever be perfect, nothing will truly last for ever,

So embrace it.

You live and die, its quite simple.

However some never quite live,

Their lives consists of a preexisting fear to adhere to societies standards,

To be what people expect them to be.

Throw these expectations out.

Stop retelling old stories, make your own, new ones, worth telling.

True contentment doesn’t come from wishing and waiting for a moment to arrive, it surrounds you everyday, and its your choice weather you make something of it or not.

So stop overcomplicating your life, stop planning ahead your contentment.

Instead, just live it everyday, in every moment.

Search for it in the darkest and deepest parts of life,

And embrace it as much as you can,

Because in the end,

No-one will have time to wait for it,

And it’ll be too late.
