Things didn’t always seem right,
She was waiting for something to ignite,
In her daily world of illusion.
Illusion it always was,
And illusion it will always be…
Or will it? Was that just how she wanted it to be?
Between worlds of darkness and light,
She was caught.
It was only towards the end of each day, midnight,
That she would feel at peace.
In the lucid darkness,
She would find comfort,
With the moon to talk to.
Stars would look down on her,
And she would say,
“Please little stars,
Take me away.”
“Please little stars, just give me a sign,
“Im in a midst of two worlds,
I understand none of them.”
“Only the little space in between,
That the rest of humanity won’t believe or see,
It makes me feel free,
It makes me feel free.”
But they would never answer,
and every day,
She would wait for the stars, for the moon to take her away,
Away from this deadly place
That she didn’t understand,
And away from a reality she couldn’t quite grasp,
It was bland.
Maybe in a different dimension, she thought,
Her world would make more sense,
But the stars never took her there.
They would only listen,
Come closer to her brittle heart and cry,
For their tears to melt her icy heart, and try,
To make her see both worlds.
She never did.
